There is a mystery brewing in the aisles of Navarre’s grocery stores.

An anonymous member of Navarre Locals posted a picture of a card they found at Publix in amongst the produce on July 23. Other members of the Facebook group said that they had found similar cards in other stores, like the Neighborhood Walmart.

With the first day of school around the corner, Navarre First Assembly of God held its third annual Day of Hope event last Saturday, July 27. Despite rainy weather earlier in the morning, the turnout for the event still reached 700 people, around the average of the other years.

St. Paul United Methodist Church is in a time of transition and embracing it.

In July, the church welcomed the Rev. Teresa Collier Johnson as their new lead pastor. The Methodist minister replaced the Rev. Christina Shaver, who was appointed to Trinity United Methodist Church in Fort Walton Beach.

The new pastor at First United Methodist Church of Milton might be a familiar face to some in the Navarre community. The Rev. Dan Morris, 66, began leading the church on July 1. He has spent 44 years in ministry as a pastor and from 2006 to 2011, served as the lead pastor of Navarre United Methodist Church. Currently, Morris’ son, David, is the lead pastor at Navarre UMC.
