Risen Savior holds Worship by the Water
Water plays a crucial role in Christianity. The Bible mentions water 722 times. From the cleansing nature of water to the nourishment one can get from it, water is central to life.
Risen Savior Lutheran Church has been using the waters of the Santa Rosa Sound as a backdrop for their bi-annual event, Worship by the Water, which is held at Navarre Park.
Blessing of pets held at St. Sylvester’s
The morning of Sat., Oct. 8, St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church held their annual Blessing of the Pets.
The event brought out dozens of animals and their owners, who looked to receive blessings from Father John Kelly.
Remembering Pastor John Kerns
John Martin Kerns passed away September 29, 2022, at the age of 66.
Pastor of the Navarre Beach church, “a church without walls,” Kerns led services since 1995.
East Bay Church to celebrate anniversary of Relaunch
East Bay Church, which was known as Midway Assembly of God until a few years ago, will be observing the anniversary of the church’s relaunch with the East Bay Birthday Celebration (1/44) on Sun., Oct. 9, at 10:30 a.m.
The celebration will feature a cookout with hotdogs and hamburgers, as well as an ice cream truck and outdoor games for children and adults alike. The 1/44 stands for one year since relaunch and 44 years as a local church. While the church will be celebrating its anniversary, Pastor Stacy Clearman will be focused on continuing to grow the church.

New church opens in November
Come November, there will be a new church in town.
Gathering House, a non-denominational church, will have its first Sunday service on Nov. 6. To build excitement for the new church, which was announced in June, Pastor Anthony “AJ” Rice decided to hold a worship night on Fri., Sept. 2, at West Navarre Primary School.

A Navarre area ministry is looking for a new location to use in their mission. Grace’s Place is a nonprofit that helps provide healing and a stable living arrangement for single, adult women who have experienced sexual trauma.
The necessity for the move stems from an arrangement the ministry had with the owner of the house they have rented in Navarre since January 2021.
