A self-described environmentalist, Navarre native Emma Bucey noticed that students in her residence hall at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University struggled with how to deal with their recyclables.
Nicholson: ‘You have to constantly push yourself’
Faith Nicholson spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital last year, unsure of what exactly was wrong with her.
“I was in and out for months. It was bad,” Nicholson said. “They kept testing me. My dad had a feeling it might be COVID, but no one could tell.”

The pandemic has made singing in choirs difficult, but Navarre High School Concert Choir was able to host their end of year concert last night – their first concert in more than a year.
Raider band entertains gym full of parents

Masks no longer mandatory in schools, effective immediately
There was standing room only at a special school board meeting Monday morning to hear from the public and then vote on the mask mandate in Santa Rosa County school district.
After the board heard from 17 parents and frustrated citizens, all speaking up against the mask mandate, the motion to make masks recommended instead of mandatory passed unanimously.
