One Year Ago – 2020

Florida Highway Patrol and Florida Department of Transportation coordinated a checkpoint to screen every non-commercial vehicle entering the Florida Panhandle on Interstate 10. The checkpoint was part of an executive order issued by Gov. Ron DeSantis legally requiring individuals that had been to COVID-19 hot spots in the past two weeks to self-quarantine for 14 days while in the state. Violating the order was a misdemeanor criminal offense.
