HNWS Inclement Weather Recovery Update

| Staff Reporters

Holley-Navarre Water System crews are continuing to assess storm damage throughout the system. The system’s wells have been inspected and are in good condition.

“Our wastewater system is still being assessed, and we’re working closely with FPL to restore power to our lift stations,” said Emerald McDaniel, HNWS executive coordinator, Saturday, Oct. 10.

In the meantime, we ask members to use their sewer systems sparingly by limiting showers, laundry, dishwashing, and other activities that generate wastewater. This will help reduce the risk of sewage backups into homes while power remains out at most lift stations.

If you experience a water or wastewater emergency, please continue to contact HNWS at 850-939-2427.

Response times may be affected by weather, road conditions, or other safety concerns. Please stay weather aware, follow guidance from local emergency management officials, and prioritize your safety.

HNWS will continue to provide updates as needed, you will get these updates first by signing up for alerts at www.hnws-fl.com.

“Thank you for your patience and cooperation as our crews work to restore normal operations!
