HNWS announces precautionary boil water notice for residents, businesses

| Staff Reporters
A precautionary boil water notice has been made for parts of Holley Navarre Water System’s franchise area.

Areas affected: All businesses and residents located on Joybrook Rd, Lindsey Magnolia Ct, Emily Magnolia Ct, Magnolia Harbor Dr, Tall Oak Ct, Sound Creek Ct, Mulberry Ln, all of Ivalea Gardens, and all businesses in Crowne Centre Plaza.

At approximately 9:45 AM, a 6” water line break occurred that disrupted service to the homes and businesses listed above.  As a result, water pressure in the area dropped below 20 pounds per square inch (20 psi). Crews have completed the repairs and restored water service; however, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This “PRECAUTIONARY Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
