Hurricane inflicts $158 million damage on Florida crops
Hurricane Michael was the most serious natural disaster to impact agricultural and natural resources industries in the Florida Panhandle in decades, according to numbers from the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS).
Hurricane Michael leveled cotton fields like the one pictured days before they were ready for harvest. Agriculture damages throughout Florida are estimated at $158 million.
