Help wanted: Babysitters for shorebird chicks

Along the shoulder of the Navarre Beach bridge, roughly 100 threatened shorebird chicks have started to emerge from their eggs. Audubon Florida needs volunteers to help chick-sit.
Black skimmers nest along the Navarre Beach causeway with their chicks. This is one of the largest nesting colonies in north Florida.
