Water System board assigned roles at reorganization meeting, injunction against HNWS dismissed

An injunction to stop the election process of Holley Navarre Water System was thrown out by a Santa Rosa County judge Thursday, Feb. 27. Filed Feb. 14, a few days before the HNWS annual meeting and election, the injunction aimed to prevent the water system from canceling out proxies which originated outside of the system. The water system allows proxy voting, which is when a member gives another member the right to vote on their behalf.
Holley Navarre Water System met the evening of Feb. 27, just a few hours after a court hearing involving the company.
