Dredging began weekend before Christmas on Navarre Beach
Navarre Beach will have a renewed look in 2025 thanks to crews working on the Navarre Beach renourishment project, which is being done to alleviate the effects of erosion on the beach by adding sand on the beachfront.
Navarre Beach renourishment has begun. Renourishment involves dredging sand from the Gulf of Mexico and pumping it onto the beach. Santa Rosa County periodically uses the procedure to alleviate the issues of erosion and increase the size of the beachfront.
