Navarre students take first place for plastic pollution video
Of the 260 million tons of plastic produced each year, 10 percent of it will end up in the world’s oceans, according to a study by the environmental group Greenpeace.
Navarre High School students Katie Bray, Emma Bucey, Thomas Moore and Michelina Dolan took first place in the Santa Rosa County Ocean Hour Youth Video Contest. The group created a public service announcement to encourage ocean conservation.
