A 49-year-old pedestrian from Navarre was critically injured when a vehicle hit her in the marked crosswalk on State Road 399 (Gulf Boulevard) last week.
The Florida Highway Patrol report said the incident occurred at approximately 6:58 p.m. on Sept. 27.
A crash investigation revealed a Hyundai Kona SUV, driven by a 53-year-old female from Pensacola, was traveling west on State Road 399 and the driver failed to see the pedestrian in the marked crosswalk. The driver and a 45-year-old passenger in the vehicle from Lewiston, Idaho were not injured.
The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the Hyundai SUV was uninjured, according to the report.
