Gulf Breeze –  The Gulf Breeze Zoo will host a field trip day for homeschoolers and their families on Friday, Sept. 20. Homeschool families will receive discounted tickets and meet other homeschool families all while learning from animal experts.

Homeschool Day is designed to provide families with a unique opportunity to explore the Zoo, engage in interactive activities, and gain hands-on knowledge about the animals, habitats and conservation efforts. Admission is $11 for students and $17 for parents and chaperones.

“The goal of Homeschool Day is to provide a fun, educational experience to homeschool families,” said Cassidy Mazzone, Gulf Breeze Zoo park director. “The day features live animal presentations, animal artifacts and hands-on activities that encourage students to learn about the importance of conservation by exploring the world of animals.”

Visit https://www.gbzoo.com/events for more information or call 866.620.1825. The Gulf Breeze Zoo is one of four zoological facilities operated by the Zoofari Parks Corporation, working in conjunction with the Alabama Safari Park, the Virginia Safari Park and the Texas Zoofari Park to provide aid to more than 135 countries around the world.

The zoo is home to more than 1,000 exotic animals, many of them threatened and endangered. The Gulf Breeze Zoo is privately owned and receives no state or federal tax support. Through admissions and animal encounters, each guest contributes to the conservation programs.
