County-wide Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Informational meeting

| Staff Reporters
The public is invited to join the Santa Rosa County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for an informational meeting about CERT at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Santa Rosa County Emergency Operations Center, 4499 Pine Forest Road in Milton.

A free breakfast will be provided, and potential volunteers will have the opportunity to meet the current CERT team and learn more about how they can make a difference in their community.

CERT teams play a vital role in helping the community during times of disaster and emergencies, as well as providing support for community events like parades, festivals, and 5Ks. Families are encouraged to volunteer together as those ages 12 and older can participate with a parent or guardian.

Volunteers will gain the necessary skills to be prepared to care of themselves, their families, neighbors, and others in the community. Basic CERT supplies are provided to the teams. For more information, visit santarosacc.com or email info@santarosacc.com.
