Water System approves fix to cause of treatment plant spill

On June 1, Holley Navarre Water System (HNWS) documented a sewage spill at their Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 2190 Pepper Drive in Holley By The Sea. The 180,000-gallon spill of untreated wastewater stemmed from a broken, 16-inch influent force main. The break was caused by a lightning strike.
