Gulf Breeze Zoo celebrates 40 years of conservation and education

Many people said it was a crazy idea. He tried and failed, tried and failed again, and then the impossible happened and in 1984 Pat Quinn built a zoo. Not just any zoo – the Gulf Breeze Zoo. Forty years later, the Gulf Breeze Zoo stands strong on the shoulders of Quinn’s legacy.
Cake and remarks were shared May 23 to commemorate the Zoo’s 40th anniversary. Pictured from left to right are Gulf Breeze Chamber CEO Grace Carbaugh, Pensacola Beach Chamber Vice President of Membership Services Jessica Simpson, County Commissioner Colten Wright, Donna Quinn, Zoo Corporate Director of Park Operations Jamie McMaster, and Assistant Director/Guest Services Manager Cassidy Mazzone and Park Director Sarah Patterson.
