In little under two years, over 31 pounds of fishing line collected for recycling from Navarre Beach Pier

It’s been 22 months since Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center set up fishing line recycling bins on Navarre Fishing Pier. The bins were erected as part of the Monofilament Recycling Program with the goal of reducing environmental damage caused by discarded fishing line.
Navarre Beach Fishing Pier has several bins dedicated to collecting fishing line for recycling. Since the redesigned bins were placed on the pier in 2022, 31.6 pounds of fishing line have been collected.
