Packed arena pays tribute to Okaloosa fallen deputy

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputy Bill Myers was remembered Sept. 28 as an individual who touched thousands of lives in countless positive ways in the decades he wore a badge.
Okaloosa County Sheriff Larry Ashley addresses an estimated 2,000 people. “He stood between us and evil as part of the thin blue line,” the sheriff said, describing Deputy Myers.
