The Holley Navarre Water System (HNWS) sent out a public notice to its members April 30 detailing the failure of Fairpoint Regional Utility Services (FRUS) to collect a subset of drinking water samples from April 2023 to September 2023. The lapse in water sample collection came after a new well was brought online.
Well #7, which came online March 2, 2023, supplies drinking water to four community water systems in south Santa Rosa County. On April 30, the public was made aware that Holley Navarre Water System, which conducts sampling on the well’s drinking water, had failed to conduct sampling for contaminants from April to September of 2023.
