Navarre teacher accepts innovator award at White House
Navarre High School science teacher Charlene Mauro was at the White House Aug. 12 to accept the Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educator.
Navarre High School teacher Charlene Mauro accepted the Presidential Innovation Award for an Environmental Educator Aug. 12 from EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy. Mauro is also the project director at the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station, where more than 2700 students are taught about marine science each year.
