County commissioners tiring of Calkins’ ‘grandstanding’

Santa Rosa County commissioner James Calkins, who is expected to seek election to a second term next year, again created controversy at last week’s commission meetings by proposing resolutions addressing hot-button political issues not related to the county’s business.
Deputies stand ready as Milton resident Sam Mullins continues to shout at Santa Rosa County commissioners after Commission Chairman Colten Wright adjourned the meeting without hearing residents’ comments about pornographic material in schools.
