Nonstop sales at Good Neighbor Thrift Store

Good Neighbor Thrift Store constantly has sales going on. It just depends on their inventory and what they have a lot of each week.

“Every day that the store is opened, I have something half-priced or a buy-one, get-one-free special,” manager Laura Beth Snow said.

Want to know Good Neighbor’s Deal of the Day? Just ask a volunteer when you walk-in the doors.

And if you’re still looking for a prom dress or formal accessories, look no further. Good Neighbor has jewelry, clutch purses and dresses on sale. All formal dresses are $15.

The store is open four days a week for shopping – Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Right when you walk in the doors, you will find the latest deal called the $2 Treasure Table with fun trinkets and neat finds, and everything costs $2. This deal won’t last forever, so come check it out today.

There is a major clothing sale every Friday to move merchandise and keep things fresh.

Snow and the rest of the Good Neighbor team are excited about their Halfway through 2021 Sale coming in June where all Christmas and holiday items will be 50% off.

On top of the frequent sales, Good Neighbor offers 10% off to all military servicemen and woman.

Snow even posts an entertaining Facebook Live video once a week, usually Friday or Saturday morning showcasing the hot deals and featuring some bargain items, all while making everybody laugh.

Any time the thrift store is open, volunteers are accepting donations on the side door of the building. Good Neighbor has a finite amount of space, so furniture is accepted as space allows.

Whatever Good Neighbor can’t keep they hand off to Helping Hands so everything goes to use.

We Care Ministries food pantry, located in the back of the store, provides food and essentials to families in need and assists locals with paying their essential bills.

“We feed people – that’s what we do,” Snow said.

The food bank provides food to those in need in the hopes that those people can take their minds off where their next meal is coming from and focus on other aspects of life that will help lead them to getting back on their feet. Food should not have to be optional when rent or bills are due, she said.

Good Neighbor Thrift Store, We Care Ministries and the Lindy Bush Food Pantry are all ministries of the Navarre United Methodist Church.

Food donations are always welcome. Please check expiration dates before donating.

We Care is available by phone at 850-939-1005 for assistance with utility bills, rent and food. The pantry is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

“Call and leave a message; the call will get returned. If you need food, we’ll feed you,” Snow said.
