Following its best season in history, the Navarre Raiders received their first post-season honors, as eight players were named to the East squad for the 2010 Subway High School All-Star Football Game Presented by the Andrews Institute. Last week, the Pensacola Sports Association announced the rosters for the seventh annual all-star game, which will be played Dec. 17, 7 p.m., at the Woodham Middle School Stadium in Pensacola.

When the Lady Raider weightlifters walked into the gym at Choctaw, nine other teams knew any chance of finishing first was over. The “Queens of Weightlifting” had arrived. Navarre’s shirts said it all, “Two times state runner-ups, third time’s the charm.” The Raiders overwhelmed the field, winning 91 points. The next highest team was Choctaw with 46 points. Gulf Breeze finished third with 23 points.
