Navarre residents spent the morning of June 21 - the Summer Solstice - picking up litter and other debris off Navarre Beach. The reason? It was part of the United Way of Santa Rosa County's Day of Action.

Gov. Charlie Crist is giving Florida's commercial fishermen and seafood dealers an extra three months to renew their licenses this year. The governor announced this action to help reduce financial hardships Florida's fishing communities are experiencing due to the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
