Broxson proposes replacing septic tanks

State Rep. Doug Broxson will soon unveil a plan to unite several sewer utilities in Santa Rosa County in an alliance that will request millions of dollars in BP oil spill money to replace residential septic tanks.

“We need a big glove to catch as much of that money as possible,” Broxson told the Navarre Press.

Broxson said that requests from a consortium of public and private utilities might carry more weight than individual applicants with the newly formed Triumph Gulf Coast, the agency that is responsible for disbursing Northwest Florida’s share of $1.5 billion of oil spill settlement money.
