A two car accident on Highway 87 in Holley left one woman dead and another seriously injured Friday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, a 44-year-old Pensacola woman was killed in the head on style collision.
The unnamed woman was driving a sedan north in the outside lane of 87 just south of the intersection with Vonnie Tolbert Road at about 6:30 p.m.
The driver of a truck traveling south on 87 lost control of her pickup truck, swerving into the south bound lane and striking the front of the sedan. The truck’s driver was a 30-year-old woman from Pensacola, according to FHP.
The report states the sedan driver was wearing a seat belt, and the truck driver was not. Both were transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, and the driver of the sedan was pronounced dead. The truck drivers injuries were listed as serious.
