Most high school seniors have a driver’s license. But a pilot license? That’s rarified air. Literally.
Navarre swimmer Kaitlyn Wollenzien is in that select company, having earned it earlier this year.
“It’s really cool that I have it. I’m proud of it,” Wollenzien said.
Wollenzien has always been inspired to learn to fly and that interest ramped up when her dad got her into the Civil Air Patrol.
Last summer she entered a flight academy and began lessons. It took her about a year to finish them and get a license in her hand.
