With the sun coming back out and the Gulf of Mexico warming up, Windjammers on the Pier has big plans for the warmer months ahead of us. Mardi Gras was a huge success, and now Windjammers is preparing for a hot summer full of fun.
This beach-front restaurant is “really focusing on being a facility that delights both an eight-year-old and an eighty-year-old,” owner Ken Fountain said.
Windjammers even has a new menu for the spring season that rolls out March 1. They will serve fresh fish daily specials along with many beach favorites. They are offering a new Caribbean Island Prep. It consists of a lime and coconut flavor with just a touch of heat. They are smoking their own pork for pulled pork sandwiches topped with Coconut Caribbean slaw. In addition to the new Caribbean taste, Windjammers will also have gourmet burgers with Angus, chuck and short rib mix cooked to perfection.
You can’t leave without trying the new Florida favorite deserts like Orange Sunshine Cake packed with citrus flavor.
Windjammers on the Pier now has a full bar featuring beer, wine and liquor and includes a wide selection of tropical and frozen drinks.
Windjammers has happy hour every weekday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. They also offer a 10% discount to locals on food every Tuesday called Tactical Tuesday.
Windjammers has plenty of special events throughout the week to get locals and tourists excited. Tuesday night is Taco Tuesday with Trivia Night from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Enjoy their taco special while looking out on the horizon and answering trivia questions for a prize. On Thursdays, the restaurant hosts Thirsty Thursday and Bingo from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come enjoy great drink specials while playing bingo with friends to win a prize.
The coastal restaurant plans to expand their entertainment and make their restaurant the place to be in Navarre. They plan to have live bands and musicians perform throughout the month on Sundays and Mondays. A few of the employees even sing and play occasionally!
Windjammers strives to bring the community together to enjoy the paradise we all call home. They will be hosting free movies on the beach once a month. A brand-new playground has also been added so the children can play while the parents enjoy the view. You can even play a game of corn hole or volleyball while at Windjammers.
When you’re finished eating, don’t forget to check out the pier gift shop, located right next door. It is loaded with customized Navarre apparel and all different kinds of tackle.
New spring hours at Windjammers start March 1. They open the pier at 5 a.m. and the bar at 10 a.m. The restaurant will open at 11 a.m. and all three will close at 11 p.m.
Come on out to Windjammers on the Pier for a unique dining experience that you will treasure.
