When my brain gets too busy and I find myself running in a mental circle, I force myself to step outside and be present.
Feel the heat sticking to my skin, the rain cooling it, the wind lifting my hair.
If I’m moving, my brain can move too, move through a problem to the other side. And if I can manage to be completely present, I gain more than clarity.
I gain joy and gratitude.
I was having one of those moments last week, where the world came in and got my thoughts spinning.
