Weekend regatta celebrates great turnout, good times

As the winds picked up in the Navarre Sound 10 minutes before the start of the race and colorful sails waved in the breeze, sailors from near and far awaited the air horn to initiate the 30th annual Juana Good Time Regatta Sept. 12.

“What a beautiful day for a race,” said Allen Coupe, a passenger on the Committee Boat who oversaw scoring, registration and check in for the Regatta.

There were even more registered sailboats than last year.
