As of Jan. 1, law enforcement began pulling drivers over and issuing tickets, not warnings, for using a mobile device while driving such as texting while driving.
The law also went into full effect for operating a mobile device in a non-hands-free manner while driving in a designated school crossing, school zone or active work zone area.
