Virus contained; shelter again accepting cats

The Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter is ready to accept cats again following the suspension of feline intakes prompted by a viral outbreak.

A detection of feline parvovirus (FPV), also known as feline panleukopenia, led the shelter to stop taking in cats in late January.
