United Way of West Florida provides $1 million in grants

United Way of West Florida (UWWF) recently awarded $647,549 in grants to 31 nonprofit agencies in support of 35 programs through the organization’s Community Investment Process. Those funds added to ongoing grant efforts and more than $385,000 in COVID-19 relief to individuals amount to more than $1 million of assistance to Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Programs operated by the grant awarded agencies provide critical services to individuals and families across Escambia and Santa Rosa counties in the areas of health, education and financial stability.

The source of the grant funds are undesignated contributions from nearly 100 area workplace campaigns and individual donors. The grant awards by focus area are listed below:
