With the housing market booming, there are many Realtors selling homes in the Emerald Coast area, but Tomell Johnson stands out from the rest.
Although a relative rookie to the realty world, Tomell understands what it takes to provide great customer service. For 25 years he worked at Publix, including the last eight as the store manager here in Navarre. Now, he’s a Realtor on the rise for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, ready to be there for you and all your real estate needs.
And while his role has changed from managing people to managing the process of buying and selling houses, his goal hasn’t changed at all – to provide the best for his clients.
“Retail is tough. The demands, the hours, it requires a lot,” Tomell said.
It got to a point that he wanted to be in control of his schedule and time while still helping and developing relationships with people. Tomell loves the freedom and ability to be a part of another great team with a little more family time with his wife, son and daughter.
Tomell ﬁrst got involved in real estate about six years ago when he started managing a rental property. He has also bought and sold three homes in his life and points out that he’s a huge Home and Garden Television fan.
“I feel like my experience made me a good ﬁt for the business,” Tomell said. “It’s been going great so far. I’m enjoying it.”
Tomell received the Best Sales Production award at his company in November, selling five houses that month. He understands he’s in a business that involves taking on a huge investment for someone, and he wants them to have the best experience possible in this process.
He takes pride in being part of the Coldwell Banker team and is committed to being part of the real estate process from start to ﬁnish.
Tomell said when it comes to helping his clients buy or sell a home, he is always accessible.
“I want my clients to know that I’m committed to being as available as possible to them at any point during the process,” Tomell said. “They can call me, text me, email me- whatever works best for them.”
A resident of Navarre, he’s connected to the community, spending Friday nights watching his son, Kobe, play football for the Raiders.
By day, though, he’s ready to help you buy or sell your home.
“It’s something I take seriously because it’s not just a home. You have memories in the home you are trying to sell, and if you are buying a new home, you are looking for that right place to create new memories,” Tomell said. “It’s a big deal.”
Tomell uses pioneering technology to stay on top of the market.
“I embrace it,” he said. “I feel I’m a good mix of traditional and new school, and I want to be able to take care of any challenges along the way that you might face.”
Ultimately, Tomell is going to make sure your home-buying or home-selling experience is the best and most efficient experience possible.
“It only takes one person to fall in love with your house to buy it. My job is to put it in front of as many people as I possibly can to find that one person,” Tomell said.
