Escambia County court records show 33-year-old Joseph Graves, a former crime lab chemist in Pensacola, was arraigned June 5 on 33 counts of drug trafficking.
He is accused of stealing prescription pain pills from the evidence room in the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
He was arrested on the new charges May 7 in Bay County.
Graves was originally arrested Feb. 4 on charges of grand theft, 12 counts of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and nine counts of trafficking in illegal drugs.
