Gov. Rick Scott’s 2016-17 Florida First Budget recommends a funding increase of more than $6 million for the Department of Elder Affairs to serve additional elders and caregivers through enhanced tools and technology.
“As our state continues to grow, so does the population of Florida’s seniors,” Scott said. “We want to make sure our seniors have all the support they need to live as independently as possible and that their caregivers have the tools they need to serve their patients.”
