The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating two vehicle-pedestrian accidents in Pensacola that resulted in the death of one person and serious injuries to another. The incidents happened less than three hours apart.
According to the report, the first accident happened at about 9:30 p.m., June 5 and resulted in the death of the pedestrian. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of family members. It happened near the intersection of State Route 297 and Cope Lane northwest of downtown Pensacola.
The second accident happened just after midnight and left a 21-year-old female seriously injured. The vehicle involved fled the scene. The accident happened on Blue Angel Parkway north of North Loop Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
