It will be a Friday night under the lights for the Argos

Due to the threat of Tropical Storm Nate becoming a hurricane this weekend, the University of West Florida football team has moved its game against Mississippi College to tonight.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola.

The Argonauts come into their latest Gulf South Conference showdown on a high after beating Florida Tech 23-21 on the road last week thanks to a 44-yard game-winning field goal as time expired by Austin Williams.  UWF is 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

UWF is taking on an MC team that has yet to win a game. The Choctaws are 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the GSC. The Choctaws lost 30-17 to Delta State last week.

UWF comes in 315.5 yards per game and is allowing 357.8 The Choctaws average 273.6 yards per outing and allow 402.8. They have been held to 9 points or less twice.

The Argos will be looking for their second home win of the season. They are 4-3 all-time at home in the two-year history of their program.
