Lighthouse Private Christian Academy has come a long way with its athletic program in a short period of time. Last Wednesday, the Stingrays had their largest group of senior athletes sign letters of intent Wednesday at Gadsden United Methodist Church in Pensacola.
The list of signees includes four football players: Collin Morris (Faulkner), Chalante Saulsberry (Arkansas Baptist), Tim Hughley (Peru State) and Keyshaun Hill (Peru State).
David Milburn is signing with Southeastern to run cross-country. Chickna Siscoko is headed to Georgia State to play NCAA Division I basketball.
Siscoko, nicknamed Shaq, hails from Africa and has played for the Stingrays the last two seasons. He helped lead Lighthouse to a national championship in 2018 and a state championship this past season.
His head coach, Morris Jones, talked about how hard Siscoko has worked. He joins a Georgia State team that won 24 games last season and reached the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive year. He’s a player who once had 33 rebounds and 18 blocks in one game.
