Five players from Navarre have earned spots on the East squad for the 2017 Subway All-Star Football Game.
The game between the East and the West will be played Dec. 15 at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
Quarterback Sage Chambers, offensive lineman Darrell Hixon, running back Omari Green, wide receiver/strong safety Bryson Brewer and linebacker Cade Taylor will represent the Raiders in a game featuring seniors from schools in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa Counties.
Navarre finished 9-2, winning a district championship and making its sixth consecutive appearance in the postseason. The Raiders reached the second round before falling 52-21 to St. Augustine.
The five Raiders selected went 21-4 over the final two seasons of their careers, with Chambers finishing off his senior campaign as the single-season leader in touchdown passes (20).
Hixon was part of an offensive line that helped Navarre roll up more than 3,000 yards of offense while Green rushed for nine touchdowns.
Brewer caught one touchdown pass and was also a factor on defense. Taylor finished with more than 90 tackles this season and picked off two passes.
In addition to the Navarre players, two Lighthouse standouts made the West team in running back/safety Darius Owens and wide receiver/safety Hunter Rigdon.
