The Raiders won a hard fought victory over district rival Niceville at home and in the rain on Nov. 25.
The two teams faced off for the first time since last year’s regional semifinal. It was to be the first test for the Raiders and they would be doing so without the services of two of their key offensive threats, Kameron Bethell and Nikia Hawkins.
The Raiders and the Eagles were locked in a scoreless tie until the 45th minute. Brandon Capenia took the ball deep into the corner. He evaded a defender and crossed the ball in front of the Eagle goal. Billy Unterbrink charged in from the right side of the field and deposited the pass into the left side of the net to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead.
