Football returned to Bennett C. Russell Stadium Friday night as Navarre hosted its Maroon and White Scrimmage.
The Raiders went live in full gear in front of a crowd, offering up glimpses of their potential on both sides of the ball.
Navarre head coach Jay Walls was pleased with the effort on both sides of the ball.
“Without looking at the film, I definitely know there were some good things,” Walls said after the scrimmage Friday night. “Offensively, we made good plays here and there. We were inconsistent at times, but that’s not uncommon at this time of the year… Defensively, we did a good job of getting some three and outs, and our defense forced some turnovers. I thought that overall, we got better this week. Our guys improved.”
The Raiders now turn their attention to the spring game. That will be played at home Friday against Pace. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
