The Lady Raiders met Gulf Breeze and Pace, two of the area’s best teams this week and won both games by identical 2 – 0 scores. The smothering defense of Brenda Bishop, Kaylynn Ennis, Mariah McKinney and Haylee Howard was outstanding

Navarre 2, Gulf Breeze 0
The Raiders traveled to Gulf Breeze on Nov. 17 and shut out the Dolphins 2 – 0 in a game featuring outstanding defenses.
The Dolphin goalkeeper kept the Dolphins in the game as the Raiders had numerous scoring opportunities. The closest call occurred at the 20-minute mark when the Raiders blasted a shot that bounced off the Dolphin keeper that hit the cross bar and was cleared by the Dolphin defenders.
It looked like the teams would end the first half in a scoreless tie, but the Raiders managed a late score at the 36th minute. McKinney threw a ball in from the left side. Sydney Whiteside gathered in the pass and kicked the ball deep into Dolphin territory. Emily Madril out-raced two defenders to the ball. As the keeper came out to cut down the angle, Madril lifted a shot over her right shoulder and into the right corner of the net.
