Raiders ride unbeaten streak into district tourney

Navarre wrapped up its regular season on a high note, riding a five-game unbeaten win streak into the District 1-4A tournament.

The Raiders won four of their last five games and ended the season last Tuesday with a 0-0 tie against Pensacola Catholic.

On Monday, Navarre crushed rival Gulf Breeze 5-0. Kobe Banks scored twice, pushing his goal total to 18 for the season.

Jack Patching, Isaac Long and Caleb Long all scored as well for the Raiders, who swept the season series against the Dolphins.

Navarre is rolling through its best season since the 2015-16 campaign when it won 17 games. The Raiders have won 10 games each of the last two seasons.

They begin district tourney play against Pace Monday at NYSA. Game time is 6 p.m. The Raiders defeated the Patriots 4-0 and 8-0 during the regular season.
