Navarre’s boys basketball team held its own in a challenging tip-off tournament in Tallahassee this week.
The Raiders faced off against state runner-up Lincoln Monday and fell 53-45 before dropping a 53-44 decision the next day to Georgia state champion Tift County.
Matt Harshany poured in 21 points in Monday’s game. He scored 20 on Tuesday.
Milton transfer Andre Smith finished with 16 against Lincoln before scoring 10 against Tift County. Elijah Proby added eight points in the loss to Tift County.
“Both teams were incredible,” Navarre head coach Taf Bentley said. “But I hope we got a great learning experience from coming here and playing these teams.”
The two-time district runner-up Raiders return home Tuesday to take on Milton. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
