Navarre is looking to bounce back when it takes on Milton tonight. The Raiders (6-1) take on the Panthers (2-4) in a 7:30 p.m. District 2-6A encounter at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.
Ranked ninth in the state, Navarre is coming off a 37-27 loss to Escambia last week as its 17-game regular-season road winning streak came to an end.
Milton has lost its last two games, falling 61-20 to Crestview last week. The Panthers are 0-1 in district play. The Raiders are 1-0.
Navarre is looking to get back to being balanced again after having the majority of its 381 yards come through the air against the Gators. The Raiders have 1,403 rushing yards and 1,475 passing.
It should be a big night for Dante Wright. He is just 10 yards shy of becoming the first in program history to get to 2,000 receiving yards. He also needs only two more receptions for 100 in his career.
Jay Walls is in his seventh season at Navarre. He has a 65-16 record.
Marlon Courtney has thrown for 1,399 yards and 12 touchdowns. He’s eight scoring strikes away from tying Sage Chambers for the most in a season.
Chris Williams already has more yards (597) and touchdowns (seven) than he did all of last season. He has gone over 100 yards three times.
