Young football players eager to learn hit the practice field at Navarre High over the course of three days last week for the NYSA football camp put on by the coaching staff at Navarre.
Raiders head coach Jay Walls was pleased with how it turned out. Two camps were held, with a skills camp in the morning and a full-contact camp for older players in the evening.
“I thought it was great. The participation numbers were outstanding,” Walls said. “Our high school coaches did a great job of running it and a lot of the credit for the participation goes to the NYSA coaches for doing a great job of promoting it.”
The camp was divided up by position and coaches ran the players through a variety of drills.
