For most of the high schools in the state, a second-place finish in the district and a spot in the regional playoffs would have translated to a very successful season.
Offensively the Raiders put up big numbers, scoring 71 goals and dishing out 66 assists. Defensively, they allowed only 22 goals and recorded nine shutouts.
However, this team sets loftier goals for themselves. Success is measured by nothing less than a trip to the state championship game.
The Raiders graduated six players from last season’s squad; three from the defense and three from the offense.
This season, the Raiders will have seven seniors attempting to replace the leadership lost through graduation: Phoenix Aldrich, Jocelyn Fernandez. Anakah Madril, Jessika Seward, Jennifer Seward, Hanna Spicer and Emily Turoff.
