Navarre’s boys weightlifting team turned in a strong performance at the district meet Monday afternoon at Pace.
The Raiders racked up 44 points, placing second behind district champion Pace, which finished with 47 points to win the team title.
Pine Forest (36) and Milton (12) rounded out the field.
“I thought we performed the way we are capable of performing,” Navarre head coach Jay Walls said. “Our guys work hard every week and are always improving. That is all you can ask from them.”
T.J. Woodberry and Brent Short were both crowned district champions in their respective weight classes, punching tickets to the state qualifier March 30 in Navarre.
