The Navarre Raiders hosted Pace last Tuesday looking to avenge a loss from earlier in the season against the Patriots.
Andre Macedo faced the minimum through four innings, and the game was scoreless when the Raiders came to bat in the bottom of the fourth.
Cyrus Grimes walked to start the inning and moved to second on Tyler Rebber’s sacrifice bunt.\
Grimes was standing on third when Macedo came to the plate with two outs. Macedo helped his cause with a hit past second base that plated Grimes with the game’s first run. Unfortunately, it was the Raiders only run.
Navarre held the slim lead until Pace strung three hits together in the sixth and put two runs on the board.
Hits by Conner Lovell in the sixth and Octavien Moyer in the sixth gave the Raiders a shot, but they were unable to push across a run to tie or take the lead.
Macedo pitched well through five innings despite the loss, giving up just four hits and striking out nine batters.
Navarre traveled to Crestview last Thursday looking to pick up a much needed district win. Things were looking good in the second when Dusty Rogers drove a triple to the gap in right center to drive in Rebber for the 1-0 lead.
Crestview evened the score in its half of the third when two hits and an error resulted in a run.
